I'm now 3 weeks back riding my bike after a lingering cold and wishing the weather would pick up a tad more. Slowly but surely my fitness will return then happy days....

Hello folks quick update I cycled to the Humber Bridge the middle of January then won myself a stinking cold which developed into a chest infection. I had the antibiotics that put me on a better track but still the cold persisted. I seemed to project manage a new kitchen at my mums home for a few weeks in Feb. I've drawn a few images managed to get back on my bike last week; but oh how I suffered, my fitness has seeped away.

Well I must be getting old because for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day and indeed New Years Eve I was in bed for 8 and 9pm. Although I did a splendid bike ride on Boxing Day with the lads enjoying a hearty breakfast along the way with a smashing brew on a fresh morning. Here's hoping for some fun projects to come my way in 2015

On Saturday I attended the Out of the Saddle charity night with brothers Russell and Dean Downing where they were raising money for Weston Park hospital in Sheffield which is one place close to my heart to try and help out. There was some fab auction items up for grabs a jersey from Laura Trott, a one off Rich Mitch Wiggo print I had donated the first edition of my latest limited edition screenprint "Handsome" which went for a whopping £500. Below a few photos from the evening, check out Malcolm Elliot with his blond locks he is too cool....

I was recently filmed by the lovely Garden Room in Braithwell South Yorkshire who I produced some work for to tell there story and rework there menu. Its a great place that I love to hang out at; eat some great food, gather ideas and spot some superstar cyclists from the area...http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BK9g4ATnIPY

Well this Sunday it finally takes place starting at 1pm the Tickhill Grand Prix which will provide some great cycling races. The women's category have record numbers for one; the Grand Prix trophy by sculptor Michael Johnson looks great which splits into two for equal status for the Mens elite and Women's Elite races. My fave prize is the Fentons flying sausage junior rider award; cannot wait to see which young talent wins that this year. Joey Walker took it last year son of Chris Walker the Milk Racing legend from the 80s.. more details over at www.tickhillgp.com
